If you want to go deeper with Tara and learn how to access the plant spirit realms for guidance and healing, we are hosting a course that is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

What if you had the ability to connect with the unique energetics of the herbs you use? What if you could form a sacred relationship with medicinal plants, unlocking new pathways of healing within yourself… on both a physical and spiritual level?

In our 7-Week Plant Spirit Initiation, plant-whisperer Tara Lanich-LaBrie will show you how to access these powers within yourself. Working with one medicinal herb each week, you will learn safe and illuminating ceremonial practices that open a portal of communication with their vast intelligence and powerful energetics.

By forming a deep relationship with each botanical, you will unlock new dimensions within yourself, healing negative patterns and thought constructs that are holding you back.

There is vastly more to this world than we have been led to believe, and this intimate training is for those who are ready to see beyond the veil, and explore the art of plant spirit medicine.

Wise women and medicine folk have always relied on the plant spirit realm to both heal and guide those in need. Now this primordial knowledge is here for you.

This is where the herbal and the shamanic paths converge – where metaphysical phenomena begin to reveal themselves to those with the eyes to see and the ears to hear.

Are you ready?

Here’s what will be featured in each of the
7 weekly modules:

WEEK 1

Meeting Our First Teacher: The Rose

We begin our 7 weeks together by exploring the ancient and sacred practices of plant spirit communication and plant dieting. We’ll cover all the basics, from our ancestors’ long history of attuning themselves to the plants, the 499 million years of wisdom plants have on us, the concept of the plant as a teacher, guide, and elder, and how to use our senses and curiosity to not only learn from plants, but to improve our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

We’ll dive into our first plant, Rose, exploring its history, spiritual significance, and powerful medicinal properties for the heart, emotions, digestion, and skin. Through daily practices like rose petal tea, flower essence, and journaling, you’ll begin to deepen your personal relationship with this plant. We’ll also craft rose-infused honey, a Rose Trinity Elixir, and enjoy a sweet culinary treat with Strawberry & Rose Mylk.

Week 2

Detoxing Our Physical & Emotional Clutter with Dandelion

Our wise teacher for Week 2 is the dandelion—the perfect spring plant for moving stagnant energy after a long winter. Overcoming decades of pesticide use and being plucked from manicured lawns, the dandelion has much to say about fierce resilience and fervent dedication. We’ll learn to harness the dandelion’s expansive energy as a mechanism for self reflection and our own spiritual evolution. We’ll practice introducing ourselves to the plant, and “seeing” with our hearts into the heart of the plant. This may feel funny at first, but when you open, allow, and suspend judgement, you’ll be amazed by what can come through!

Although many think of dandelion as a common weed, there’s nothing common about its revitalizing properties and benefits for blood sugar, digestion, optimal gut health, and liver support. It’s also got amazing cleansing and restorative properties for the whole body. In fact, it’s Latin name translates to the “official remedy for disorders,” hinting at its far-reaching effects.

WEEK 3

repairing Physical & Emotional Depletion with Nettles

Nettles are an apt teacher to help us deepen our practice of listening to the plants and devoting our undivided attention to them. In Week 3, we’ll pay special attention to tracking the plant as it enters our bodies. Where are your deepest recesses of depletion? Allow nettles to show you. A near-perfect food, nettles are one of the most nutrient dense greens we have on Earth! Because they contain so many of the vital nutrients that we need, nettles are great at building us back up after a time of depletion.

In this class, we’ll discover the fun and fantastic folkloric history of nettles—including protection from flying elf venom, the serious medicinal punch its sting packs and why people intentionally sting themselves, best practices for harvesting nettles and ethical and mindful harvesting practices in general, the balancing, adaptogenic, and blood-boosting effects of nettles, the benefits and uses of vinegar extractions and how to make them, how to work with nettle seeds, and why you should always have some nettle powder on hand. We’ll make a Nettle Electuary—a tonic for the blood and liver, and a delectable (sugar and dairy free) Nettle & Ginger Ice Cream. Yum!

WEEK 4

Ancestral Healing With A Plant As Old As Time: Yarrow

In Class 4, we’ll discover how yarrow can be a bridge to healing our family lines and ourselves, why this plant was named after Achilles, how to use it as an “energetic carwash,” why yarrow is considered to be a life-saving plant, how and when to forage it, the importance of identifying dangerous lookalikes, how this miraculous plant improves the health of the soil, and the physiological benefits of its bitter taste. Week 4 will emphasize how the plants respond to our devotion, and how much deeper we can take this work when we consistently and mindfully honor and acknowledge the plant of the week.

We’ll journal about our sensations as we taste our yarrow infusion. By Week 4, we’ll start to notice what imagery or feelings consistently show up for us each week and what seems to be unique to a plant. We’ll start to notice a consistent dialogue that we’re building with the plants and how we can use this to interpret the plants’ different personalities. Together, we’ll make a Yarrow Powder for our first aid kits, and some potent digestive Yarrow Bitters for our growing apothecaries.

WEEK 5

Cultivating A Sense of Magic & Awe with Elder

Week 5’s wise teacher is shrouded in magical lore throughout the world, and recognized in more recent scientific studies for its efficacy in preventing and treating the flu and other viruses. At this point in the course, we’re learning to see plants as daily food. We’re also learning to cultivate a sense of awe when working with the plants and how doing so can create so much more room for possibility and magic in our lives.

We’ll continue to attune to the essence and spirit of our plants by engaging all of our senses—smell, sight, taste, feel, and observations of all kinds. We also review how to use our breath as a pathway to get on the same energetic level as a plant to open our line of communication.

We’ll look at why Hippocrates deemed this tree “the medicine chest” and why it isn’t allowed to be cut down in certain parts of the world. You will learn how to brew elder “juice,” how to use elder as a facial spray or skin toner, and how to use elder to prevent illness. Together, we’ll make Tara’s special recipe for Elder Syrup, which is healing for the lungs, warming, and also a digestive.

WEEK 6

Heal, Embody & Connect to Your Inner Feminine with Mugwort

Also known as Crone’s Wart due to its association with the wise woman archetype, mugwort helps us to heal, connect to, or embody our feminine energies. While mugwort is deeply rooted in the divine feminine, we’ll discover how it holds medicine for men too when it comes to self love and the exploration of our wild, untamed selves.

In Week 6, we’ll explore the unique medicine that is made by our specific connection to a plant. Just as we show up in different ways for different people, so do the plants for us. We’ll discover how our unique combination with a plant is part of the medicine. We’ll review how to bring our gifts to them, opening the doorway for our discovery of who they are for each of us.

In this class, we’ll discover why mugwort has earned the name “Mother of Plants,” how it can be used as a daily supplement for women, and why it’s named after the Greek moon goddess Artemis. We’ll explore fun practices for working with mugwort, like making Tara’s dream broth, a mugwort latte, a sparkling mocktail, or an oil for bodily aches and pains. We’ll make a Mugwort Smoke Bundle for “clearing the air,” a Mugwort Syrup for relaxing the nervous system, and Tara’s irresistible Mugwort Chocolate Truffles.

WEEK 7

Building Healthy Boundaries for Continued Openness with Hawthorn

In our final class, we’ll tie it all together, bringing our focus back to our tender hearts with the compassionate and heart-opening hawthorn. This rose family shrub is a master healing plant with medicine for the physical, emotional, and spiritual heart. Hawthorn is also a wise teacher for discovering how to cultivate healthy boundaries while simultaneously softening our edges.

In this class, we’ll discover how to make medicine with hawthorn’s flowers, berries, and leaves; uncover why this May Day bloom cannot be cut down in Ireland; why hawthorn is the perfect plant for making jam – and how to make it; and the story behind Tara’s name. Plus, we’ll make a Hawthorn Berry Tincture for our apothecaries and Tara’s divine Hawthorn & Rose Drinking Chocolate made especially for deep connection and rites of passage—after all, this is our last class together!

As our time together comes to a close, Tara will prepare us to keep an open line of communication with the plants and to continue our newfound practices outside of class. We now have all the tools we need to expand our practice of deep listening, quiet communion, and reciprocity.
